We've almost made it a week...

Hi! Today is day 6 of bedrest. One more day until we've officially made it a week which ALSO means we will have hit the 24 week mark. That was our first goal. Make it (no matter what it took) to 24 weeks. I can't even bare to type these words, but the 24 week mark is considered the 'viability' mark. I always knew we would make it here - fetal fibronectin test or not.

Justin and I have decided to set little goals for us and the babies. Our next goal is making it to 26 weeks. So much can happen in 2 short long weeks, but we both feel confident that we can make it to and beyond 26 weeks!

Yesterday, was the second worst day since this started for us. Justin left work and went to the specialist's office to get another opinion on something our OB was prescribing us. He was there for at least an hour. Meanwhile, I was stuck at home, in bed, waiting patiently. Long story short, the University of Utah hospital pharmacy made a compound injectable for me to take. The specialist also told Justin that I should be in bed 22 out of 24 hours a day and a few time throughout the day elevate my pelvis in the hopes that the babies will stay off of my cervix and alleviate some of the pressure.

This morning, we went to our OB for them to give me my first shot, in my bum. It was my first shot in my bum - ever! ouch! So worth it though. We go back to the specialist tomorrow and we'll have another fFN test and also check my cervical length again. I'll update our latest results once we know more.

Please keep us in your prayers that the test will come back negative again and that my cervix hasn't continued to shorten since last week.
